During the visit, Minister Räty attended a ministerial meeting in the field of health and promoted the Finnish exports in the health and care sector.
Minister of Social Affairs and Health Laura Räty traveled to Singapore on 9-11 February. During her visit Minister Räty attended a ministerial meeting in the field of health called: "Meeting on Universal Health Coverage: The Post-2015 Challenges". In the meeting, Minister Räty took part in a panel discussion about home care for the elderly.
During her visit, Minister Räty met Singapore´s Health Minister Gan Kim Yong and Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower Hawazi Daipi. The subjects of the bilateral meetings included the challenges related to population ageing.
The purpose of the trip was also to promote Finnish exports in the health and care sector, and thus, the Minister was accompanied by a group of companies specialized in health technology and ageing. The business delegation was formed by Hur Oy, Evondos, Medanta, Hovikoti, eHovia and Commit.
